Chapelton Beef Shorthorns
Chapelton Beef Shorthorns were initially established back in the 1930’s by James Biggar and his father Walter. Today the herd is based on the finest North American genetics blended with the best of U.K bloodlines. We have specifically used well known North American sires such as WHR Sonny and Butterfield Able Seaman. The herd presently consists of around 70 cows a number we hope to increase.
All Chapelton Beef Shorthorns stock are performance recorded from birth on the Breedplan system. All Chapelton stock performance figures can be accessed through the Beef Shorthorn Society website database.
